Contra Costa County State Senator Backs Swalwell; Says He Will Be a Dedicated Fighter For California Families
LOS ANGELES, CA — Today, Swalwell for Governor announced State Senator Tim Grayson (SD-09) has endorsed his campaign. Grayson’s district encompasses most of Contra Costa County, including Concord, Antioch, Pittsburg, Bay Point, Martinez, Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek, Lafayette, Danville, San Ramon and Orinda. Additionally this district includes Castro Valley, San Lorenzo and San Leandro in Alameda County.
“Eric Swalwell and I both come from hardworking families and were the first in our families to go to college. We know what grit and determination look like,” said State Senator Tim Grayson. “Throughout my career, I've fought to provide opportunity for working families, and I see that same relentless commitment in Eric. We can count on him to be a dedicated fighter for every California family as our next governor.”
Grayson represents more than half a million Contra Costa County residents in the California State Assembly. A small business owner and the former Mayor of Concord, he is focused on fighting for quality jobs and economic security for working families, addressing California’s housing crisis and taking on predatory lenders and financial fraudsters across our state.
Grayson was the first in his family to earn a college degree. His father was a Teamster and his mother was a public transit worker. He has been a licensed general building contractor for nearly 30 years and operates his own small business.
