Swalwell Removes Name From "The Gun on Second Street" Film Production Following Labor Dispute
Eric Swalwell's Statement on IATSE Dispute
“A few years ago I shared my family's personal law enforcement experiences with the writer of ‘The Gun on Second Street.’ In exchange, I was offered an executive producer credit on the film.
I never personally invested. I have also been a lifelong supporter of labor. While I am prohibited by Congressional ethics rules from participating in the negotiations between production and labor, I joined the film expecting that labor standards would be adhered to and urge the production team to seek a fair outcome for the crew. Since learning of the conditions, I have removed my name from the project entirely.”
